Powder coating is modern technology. It is a dry painting process that utilizes resins and pigments and is used in place of liquid paint. Many problems can be eliminated while using powder coating. Powder coating is very durable and there is almost an endless range of colors and properties. Powder coating is U-V stable and it also has great corrosion and chemical resistant properties.

The basic process starts with a clean and well-prepped substrate (your part) and is heated up to around 100 degrees. A ground anode is then clipped to the substrate to allow the electrostatically charged powder exiting the gun to be attracted. Once the substrate is covered with a liberal layer of powder, it is then heated up to specified temperatures to cure. After the curing, the part will cool down to room temperature and becomes chemical, scratch, and chipping resistant.
